English Language

Introduction

This page is a resource to summarise issues related to the English language that I commonly have trouble remembering

Affect vs Effect

Affect = impacted (usually this 'substitution' will make sense / work)

Effect = result (usually this 'substitution' will make sense / work)

"The arrows affected Aardvark. The effect was eye-popping." --> "The arrows impacted Aardvark. The result was eye-popping."
